Description: Les caractéristiques de chacune des surfaces se différencient par différentes zones de peuplements à potentiel acéricole. Au Québec, la superficie des érablières inventoriées cartographiquement s’élève à près de 1 230 000 hectares, dont environ 620 000 hectares (51 %) présenteraient théoriquement un potentiel acéricole.Cette information géographique est extraite des peuplements écoforestiers (FORGEN) qui représentent un morcellement du couvert forestier en unités territoriales homogène. Il s'agit de l'extraction des codes d’érablières suivants :EOEORX, ER, ERBB, ERBJ, ERBP, ERER, ERFI, ERFT, ES,ESES. Les polygones sont issus de la photo-interprétation standard et 3D à l'écran des peuplements écoforestiers sur le fond topographique de la BDTQ à l'échelle 1/20 000.
